We, the women: breaking the bias

Dubai Cares, Expo 2020 Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation (MoFAIC) have come together to launch Dignified Storytelling, an initiative with an aim of creating an ecosystem that fosters a shared understanding and practice of storytelling that maintains and upholds the dignity of all persons and contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In the context of this project and focusing specifically on SDG 5, gender equality, “We, The Women: breaking the bias”, is a global arts festival highlighting the expressive power of female creators and society’s need to eliminate all the sexist stereotypes about women in all forms of arts.

The event you are about to enter is officially part of this festival, both as a physical exhibition that you can visit at the heart of the world expo in Dubai, and as a virtual walkthrough of the same collection of images taking place inside the Meetaverse venue in AltspaceVR.

Thanks to Agora Images, the official partner in charge of the photo selection, you’ll be able to enjoy 29 original and visually stunning international photographic works breaking the stereotypes created by our society around women. Some of them created by well known and recognized guest artists, some other winners of Agora’s photo contests.
